After filing more than three hundred GeM tenders, the single biggest lesson is that most of the work is deciding which ones not to file. A tender with a rock-bottom L1 price ceiling and a specification copied from a competitor's catalogue is one you will either lose or win at a loss. We now decline those in the first ten minutes.
The tenders that convert share a few traits: a specification written in generic terms rather than a rival's model number, a realistic delivery window, and evaluation criteria that weight quality alongside price. When those line up, our compliance and past-performance record does the heavy lifting.
Everything else is discipline. Keep your OEM certificates, BIS licences and past-supply proofs current and indexed, because a tender is won or lost on whether you can attach the right document before the portal closes — not on whether you own it somewhere.
